Tech Central has partnered with local travel startup FreeGuides to create a free self-guided walking tour that allows users to rediscover the hidden gems of Tech Central – Sydney’s home of tech & innovation.
FreeGuides, an Australian travel app created by 25-year-old entrepreneur Daniel Wasilewsky, is pleased to announce that it will collaborate with Tech Central to inspire residents of Sydney, employees of Tech Central, and visitors to the area to rediscover and support small businesses in the burgeoning hub of technology and innovation.
There are more than 1500 self-guided walking tours available worldwide on the FreeGuides app. The app will offer a variety of tailored self-guided walking tours within the precinct thanks to its partnership with Tech Central, a booming Innovation District. The app's debut experience, "Places to Eat Around Tech Central," allows users to take a free, self-guided tour of the area's restaurants and bars.
The foodie experience entitled ‘Places to Eat Around Tech Central’ will take users on an adventure through Surry Hills, Haymarket, Chippendale, Ultimo and Redfern. Visiting destinations such as hidden bars in Chinatown, Atomic Bar, Dopa Donburi and 20+ other locations that will tantalise the taste buds, all while helping to boost the economy.
The self-guided experience is highly interactive with each stop on the app embedded with photographs, videos and local insights that can be followed by an explorer. The tour is now available via the FreeGuides app.
