Accelerating Women winners announced for 2022 Telstra Best ofBusiness Awards
Telstra has this week announced the inaugural Accelerating Women state winners of the 2022 Telstra Best of Business Awards, celebrating and recognising small and medium sized businesses moving Australia forward.
Winners include She’s A Crowd - making cities safer for women, She’s A Crowd collects and maps crowdsourced data about women’s unsafe experiences, to address unsafe areas in city planning and support closing the gender data gap. Its work helps inform policy development that aims to prevent gender-based violence.
Female led luxury bridal brand, Grace Loves Lace - founded in 2010 by Megan Ziems, Grace Loves Lace has championed diversity and inclusivity in the bridalwear industry, allowing it to shift the perspective on traditional bridal dressing by creating unique and personalised gowns for women to feel more comfortable, confident and empowered in.
House Inspect Australia - while operating as a one stop house inspection business known for customer focused results in building and pest inspection, a core focus of House Inspect Australia has been addressing the gender gap and being a champion for women in the industries they operate in.

Telstra Consumer and Small Business Group Executive, Michael Ackland said the winners of the 2022 Telstra Best of Business Awards were outstanding examples of small and medium sized businesses whose ingenuity and resilience has led them to thrive amid such testing times. “Each business is an inspiration in its own right, and it is a privilege to be able to celebrate the incredible impact these winners have had on the customers and communities they serve,” Mr Ackland said.
