Astina Suites Forster - Travel Feature
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the high-end luxury Astina Suites Forster. Astina Suites are on the main street, right next to the village. Close by is the beach (100m) making the Astina Suites Forster the perfect location to relax and unwind. I certainly felt I deserved some pampering as for the last 6 months I've been terribly unwell so it was a very welcomed stay for me even though I only live five minutes away by car.
The apartments are 1, 2 or 3 bedroom suites offering luxurious bedding, feather pillows, rainfall shower, bath, fully equipped kitchen, ceiling fans, ducted air to every room, sheer blockout blinds, study desk, stone breakfast bar, large balcony with BBQ, Tech 65 inch Smart TV in lounge and 50 inch in main bedroom, complimentary NBN Wifi, Netflix Video & Foxtel, beach towels, intercom to front door and weekly housekeeping service.
My first wow factor when I stepped into the apartment was the feeling of space and the beautiful decor and the marble floors are stunning. Upon entering I could see the huge main bathroom, and the two bedrooms, and towards my left a peak of the living area and the view straight to the beach. As I walked through the apartment I was very impressed with how bright it was, the views, space and the balcony area. On opening the doors the breeze came straight in from the beach which was very welcomed on this hot summer's day. It's a noisy street however once you close the door it blocks out the sound.
I was most impressed with the kitchen, there is plenty of space to prepare and cook. Coffee lovers will appreciate the the cappuccino machine! The kitchen also has a breakfast bar for eating and behind it a huge wooden table that I adored.
There's nothing nicer than a luxurious bathroom and the main one certainly impressed me with the room, decor, bath, rainfall shower, complimentary toiletries and luxurious towels. One of my pet peeves staying in hotels (and even in my own apartment) is when taps are placed under the shower head and I was pleased to see the taps were placed opposite the shower head in these bathrooms, exactly where they should be.
The second bedroom has its own ensuite that also has a rainfall shower and between the two is a fabulous dressing area and plenty of wardrobe space.
When it comes to relaxing check out the fab sofa above where I indulged in reading a book. The TV supplied with both Foxtel and Netflix Video is another way to relax, mind you there's so much to do in the area I'd be saving the TV for the night time. Speaking of things to do, you will find a lot of local attractions in this travel review I did on the Forster.
The lobby of the Astina Suites Forster is gorgeous keeping with the theme of the apartments and this beautiful table below certainly catches the eye.
Speaking of decor, the apartments are spacious and have a few little quirky items scattered around like this little fella that caught my eye. There is no clutter, just a feeling of space offering the perfect place to relax either inside or outside on the balcony.
Parking is in a secure basement, however the spaces are very tight. There is also a public car park right outside the building if more room is needed. Astina Suites are very close to the beach and shops and Wallis Lake. Make sure you try some of Graham Barclays Oysters too, it's a nice walk along the lake to the Oyster farm or just hop in the car it will take a couple of minutes to get there. Forster Village offers some fabulous gift shops, boutiques, surfwear, restaurants, cafes, butcher, chicken shop, hairdressing and much more.
As I mentioned there are plenty of beautiful walks and lookouts so you won't get bored spending a holiday in beautiful Forster.
