Travel Review: Great Lakes Paddocks NSW

Great Lakes Paddocks

There's a secret little haven on the Mid North Coast Hinterland of NSW called Great Lakes Paddocks. Both a winery and a producer of sustainable Angus Beef, this is one little country stop you must put on the map if you are in the area.

Great Lakes Paddocks

Steve and Robyn own this amazing venue that not only offers a wine tasting room, and a great place to have a picnic but also stocks local artisan produce. The premises are also available for private functions such as weddings.

After sampling these delightful wines, visitors can order a grazing plate that showcases the local produce and is available to purchase. Believe me it's a must do! From amazing cheese, cold meat, duck pate, olives, and the best trout dip ever, you can enjoy this sampling along with a glass of your favourite Great Lakes Paddocks wine. I opted for the Sparkling Lily NV.

Visitors can also purchase the premium Angus beef packages. The cattle are extremely well cared for on this property, and they get to roam happily on the lush green pastures of the consisting of kikuyu, rye and cow pea. Great Lakes Paddocks are passionate about producing quality beef using sustainable and ethical farming practices. T

If you happen to be in the vicinity on a Sunday afternoon, Great Lakes Paddocks offer free music events featuring local artists and bands.

This is a family-friend destination about half an hour drive to Forster where there is plenty of accomodation to make for a great weekend away.
