Travel Review: Star of the Sea Terrigal
The moment I drove through the security gates of Star of the Sea Terrigal I knew I was in for a fabulous two day stay. The vibe of the premises oozes high-end resort! Check in was easy and when I was escorted to my apartment my jaw nearly hit the floor! It was stunning! This three bedroom apartment spares no expensive in providing a luxurious and comfortable stay.
The floor is Italian marble, however the bedrooms all have carpet. Each bedroom has its own ensuite. The main bedroom has views of the ocean, a walk in wardrobe and large bathroom with a spa bath. The dining room table is magnificent with black chairs and gold embossing. The lounge room overlooks the ocean and expansive balcony and has a large modular sofa. Art, mirrors and spectacular vases of artificial flowers are placed throughout the premises.
As well as the bathrooms this suite has a laundry and a well equipped kitchen. It truly is a dream home.
Bob, the Manager (or the Boss) as he likes to call himself, explained to me that these apartments can be rented out however many of the residents are permanent. Star of the Sea Terrigal is a popular place for celebrities and sports teams including the Socceroos. I am not surprised because the premises are secure and private.
The suite that we are staying in has expansive views across the ocean and the balcony that is bigger than the last apartment I lived in! In fact, this apartment is a popular choice for weddings, because the balcony is covered, there is plenty of room and as I mentioned the views are spectacular.
As you wander around the grounds of the Star of the Sea, you will come across a heated pool, with spa and a water slide. Conveniently next to the pool is the Star Cafe owned by Chef Tristian Steele. Here you can enjoy a cuppa whilst you relax around the pool and the lush tropical gardens. There are actually three swimming pools in this complex.
Speaking of gardens, they are exceptionally well maintained and are a delight to explore, crossing the little bridges and waterfalls. The pond at one end of the pool is home to beautiful Koi.
Maybe a game of pool is your fancy? The games rooms is expansive and where you can have a game of 8 ball. Or you might prefer a game of tennis or workout in the gym? There is no excuse not to keep fit.
Star of the Sea is a popular resort for small weddings, celebrations, meetings and very popular for ladies weekends away. There are 34 units available for short term rental.
An incredible aspect of the design of the Star of the Sea is the fact that only 30% of the land is buildings whilst 70% is open space or recreational facilities. All free of charge to Star of the Sea guests!
