For Just $55 You Can Enjoy a Great Ladies Day Out at The Morrison

I recently had lunch at the Morrison Sydney with three new friends as part of a competition we ran on Sydney Chic and, I have to say, I think Ladies Day Out lunch is one of the best kept secrets in Sydney.

Ladies Day Out the Morrison

The start of the experience is the Prosecco Popsicles! I chose the peaches and fresh thyme which was a rather unusual but lovely combination. I did find it a little hard to eat and in the end I let most of the flavours melt into my glass and there soon wasn't any left!

The popsicles are made with natural ingredients (flavoured with cool watermelon, sweet strawberries, peaches, fresh thyme, coconut cream and pineapple juice) frozen overnight and then brought to life with the fizz of Millesimato Italian Prosecco.

This is followed by an indulgent collection of the Morrison’s signature dishes – a range of wonderful flavours and by the end of lunch, believe me, you will have had a substantial lunch.

The Morrison Ladies Day Out

First up is the freshly shucked oysters, served on ice with lemon and a Spanish red wine vinegar. As you would expect from The Morrison Oyster Bar they are super fresh. The pea guacamole lettuce boats were a huge hit!

We raved about the buffalo on the salad caprese made of locally grown tomatoes with fresh basil. Seriously the best. Katie, one of my guests even asked where the cheese came from because that was going on her shopping list!

Chef Sean's Chicken Lollipops were a tasty treat and if you haven't already tried Sean's hot sauce...make sure you do next time you dine at The Morrison.

Next up was the Gravlax of Salmon Salad, Avocado and Cos Lettuce. This simple combination was delicious and I found the Gravlax to be particularly tasty.

And thanks to our waiter, Kevin.

Who loves mushrooms and gnocchi? I certainly do and this beautiful Orgy of Mushroom Gnocchi was sensational. The texture of the gnocchi was very smooth and the mushrooms full of flavour.

And to keep things fresh and healthy a side of pickled beetroot, chilli and mint.

Then came the dessert! It was probably a good thing I had to leave our party to go to an appointment, however not before sampling the most decadent chocolate torte ever! Check out the rest of it!

I highly recommend Ladies Day Out, Saturday and Sunday's at The Morrison Sydney. It's $55 per head including a Prosecco Popsicle and if you feel like more Prosecco purchase a bottle for $49 or extra Popsicles at $4 or carafe of Aperol Spritz $29.

Enjoy!
