Crows Nest Festival 2017

Shahrouk Family from Channel Nine’s upcoming program ‘Family Food Fight’

It will be a day of family fun on the Leafy North Shore on Sunday, 15 October. With more than 50,000 visitors to visit the dining precinct of Crows Nest for the 28th annual community Festival. Visitors can enjoy the Festival activities between 10am to 5.00pm, where the laneways and streets will be transformed to vibrant colours, fabulous sounds and an aroma of amazing dishes cooking that will entice foodies.

As well there are street activities and on-stage entertainment.

One of the most popular Festival activities each year is the cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs who willingly share their special recipes – and samples of the food they have prepared.

This year the line-up of celebrity chefs will feature the Shahrouk Family from Channel Nine’s upcoming program ‘Family Food Fight’. The four sisters, Houda, Halla, Leeann and Rouba are revved up and ready to bring a feisty Lebanese flavour to the stage in Crows Nest. With beyond boundless energy, the Shahrouks are ready to give their all – must not be missed.

Other chefs to join in the fun with visitors include Whirlpool’s Ambassador Scott Gooding, Fratelli Fresh Group Pastry Chef Riccardo Falcone, Q Station Executive Chef.

As food is an important part of the Festival and of the Crows Nest area, market stalls lining the shopping streets will offer all kinds of food and drinks, and there will be long communal tables where family and friends can catch up to enjoy getting together.

The Festival aims to provide something of interest for everyone in the family. For the ladies, there will be a wide range of fashion and produce stalls, and possible Christmas gifts galore. For the children there will be rides and other fun activities. There will be entertainers on stage and more strolling the streets.

In the midst of all this activity, the new courtyard and rooftop terrace of the Crows Nest Hotel, an iconic landmark for more than 100 years, will be another feature location of the Festival.

So plan to come along with family and friends for this great day out on the leafy Lower North Shore of Sydney – entry is free.
