Today I attended a Wine Masterclass at the Bastille Festival Sydney courtesy of the wine sponsor, United Cellars.
There are two masterclasses designed to play with your senses. One will take you on a journey around French most reputable wine regions – It’s a ” Tour de France of Wines “a wonderful journey through the France best wine regions and an amazing charcuterie platter with authentic bread & butter of France. This is the one I attended. We tasted a range of beautiful French wines that really impressed me. They were all fabulous and as a special at the Festival you can buy any mixed case 6 for $79 or 12 for $149 which is a super bargain if you ask me for wines like this. The second one is for the Gourmet and Gourmand – match amazing French cheeses with amazing French wines – It’s a Wine and Cheese Feast ! Both Masterclasses are run by a “Passionate” French sommelier and last for around 2hrs.
The wine masterclass is only just one of the things to look forward to at the Festival there are plenty of other stalls offering a range of food, products and of course wine.
Bastille Festival Sydney sets up not only 4 food villages but 8 wine bars and beer gardens, 14 live concerts, 2 Dj sets, 1 cabaret show, 8 movie screenings on beds, more than 40 street live performances all day and night from circus to country folk dances and music.
