Grove Rooftop Bar at Novotel Sydney Central, until 31 March 2017
Haymarket Sydney is the latest suburb to receive a rooftop venue with the launch of the Grove Rooftop on the eighth floor of Novotel Sydney Central. The Grove Rooftop is nestled within the hotel’s outdoor garden on a converted putt-putt course. The pop-bar features greenery as far as the eye can see, an abundance of fairy lights, festoon lighting and of course views of the surrounding area; all set under the stars.
Grove Rooftop is a laid back casual atmosphere and this is reflected in the styling choices and food and beverage options available.
Taking inspiration from an American-style bar, the Grove Rooftop offers a selection of beers served in cans, along with a limited selection of wines and spirits. When it came to creating the Grove Rooftop dining menu, the hotel’s Executive Chef Aman Prasad wanted to offer dishes which were easy to eat, on-trend and designed to share. As a result, the menu consists of crowd pleasers such as loaded fries topped with bacon, melted cheese and chipotle mayo, and nacho style hot chips loaded with spicy ground beef, melted mozzarella, jalapeño and sour cream. The bar's styling features recycled timber furniture with accents of raw iron and director chair seating, to create a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere reflective of the bars desired clientele.
In an Australian bar first, the Grove Rooftop is powered by UE Boom’s Mega Boom Bluetooth speakers. The weather and shock proof speakers pump out incredible 360-degree sound ensuring the bars ambience is heard wherever you’re positioned within the venue. In a unique partnership between Novotel Sydney Central and UE Boom, the collaboration was created to showcase the new Party Up feature on selected UE Boom devices, allowing you to connect up to 100 speakers wirelessly to enjoy an immersive music experience.
The Grove Rooftop is open to Novotel Sydney Central guests and external patrons from Wednesday to Sunday from 5:30pm until 10pm until 31 March 2017. The bar is also taking bookings for private events until December 2017 between Monday – Sunday. Food and beverage packages can be tailored to meet the organiser’s needs.
