Travel Review: Siam@Siam Design Hotel Bangkok - Restaurants and Bars

On my recent trip to Bangkok and staying at Siam@Siam Design Hotel I was very much impressed with the look and feel of this hotel. One of the highlights is the Rooftop Bar; the views of Bangkok are 360 degrees and at night the Neon light sculptures really electrify the ambience.

For those of you in Bangkok on New Year's Eve this is one place to celebrate and watch the fireworks but book early.

THE ROOF GASTRO

With it's French inspired meals, stunning views and signature cocktails this is the place to hang out in Bangkok. It's a little hard to concentrate on your food when you have 360-degree amazing views of Bangkok though! I actually ate on the rooftop, rather than in the restaurant, with members of the Hotel Management team and enjoyed a beautiful meal of scallops and a fish dish recommended by Chef. I must admit here I found the Thai people eat a lot more than I do, and I struggled to finish many of my meals making me feel a little guilty.

The restaurant prides itself on sourcing the freshest ingredients they can find.

PARTY HOUSE ONE

Serves delicious breakfast, international lunch or dinner.

Let's face it hotel buffet breakfasts can be quite ordinary but I'm here to tell you that Siam@Siam Design Hotel's buffet breakfast is probably the best I've ever had. Each morning I looked forward to having Chef cook me an omelette and then I added a little bit of crispy bacon and a stuffed tomato from the buffet. The buffet has a wide selection and everything is fresh!

On my first day I was joined by the Marketing team who educated me on Thai Cuisine. There were so many dishes to try and each one of them was sensational. I guess this was my first time eating authentic Thai food! Of course I eat Thai here in Sydney but there is something a little different when you eat the food from the country it originates from.

The bar is very funky and there are plenty of places to sit down and enjoy the food and drinks. Think New York-style loft with art, music and fabulous international inspired dishes served throughout the day.

POOL BAR

One of the surprises I discovered at Siam@Siam Design Hotel was the swimming pool! It's stunning and to think it's smack bang in the middle of Bangkok! The pool has a timber area with deckchairs to relax on and a bar serving drinks and cocktails.

For a great dining experience with fresh food, excellent service and a variety of bars and eateries then visit Siam@Siam Design Hotel is the place to hang out in Bangkok.
