I Want to Make a Difference and Help PROJECT FUTURES Stop Human Trafficking

PROJECT FUTURES

How do you like having your freedom? It's one of my most important values in my life. Freedom to have an opinion, freedom to do what I want, freedom to work the hours I want, and the list goes on.

Did you know that, according to the Global Slavery Index, there are an estimated 45.8 million people enslaved in the world today? Over the next year, two million children will be sold into the sex slave trade. They don't have their freedom. They don't have love.

It is wrong and needs to change. Can you imagine not having your freedom because it was stolen from you? Not because you committed a crime, not through your own fault, but because of criminals who took it from you?

Sydney Chic is proud to support PROJECT FUTURES, a Sydney-based not for profit that has been raising awareness and funds to aid projects on the ground in the Asia Pacific since 2009. These projects prevent the occurrence of human trafficking and exploitation, and also provide support and empowerment to individuals affected by the fastest growing international crime industry. It is hard to fathom that in this day and age, that slavery still exists! It's a disgrace!

PROJECT FUTURES is run by a team of young professionals who believe that by empowering individuals and facilitating opportunities to harness their skills, talents and networks, we are all capable of creating change. This Saturday proceeds from the #PFBlackTie Ball will help their impact partners transform and restore the lives of those affected by, or at risk of, human trafficking and exploitation. People can donate one off or set up monthly donations by visiting projectfutures.com/donate Hashtags- #projectfutures Social handle - @projectfutures

We can all make a difference to stop this. Are you in?
