It's not just about chocolate at Guylian Belgian Chocolate Café

What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of Guylian? I bet it’s chocolate, and rightly so! However there are some surprises when dining at Guylian Belgian Chocolate Café and I found that out recently when I dined at the Circular Quay Café.
Firstly, there is no denying that our beautiful Sydney Harbour is truly spectacular. As a long-term resident of Sydney I never tire of visiting the Quay. Just watching the world go by, the ferries busy transporting people around the harbour, and of course the visiting ships.
When I arrived at Guylian Belgian Chocolate Café I was warmly welcomed and was seated outside. As it was a spectacular Sydney winter’s day I loved being able to watch the people go by and the boats on the harbour.
My friend arrived shortly after and we ordered lunch, however we opted for savory rather than sweet! Don’t get me wrong I love chocolate and it was a painful choice having to decide what to eat, especially as the desserts look so good.
We did choose a hot chocolate, which I must confess, is totally decadent, rich and smooth. #YUM

For lunch I had a savory waffle of smoked salmon and chive cream cheese. It was delicious and just right for lunch. My friend had a beautiful fresh baguette from the new menu, as you can see from the Instagram photo above, and both are very appetising.
One other surprise is for those wishing to have a glass of bubbles, wine or beer, you can also enjoy a little tipple whilst watching the world go by.

We were warned that the seagulls are a little brazen! So true! One swooped right down trying to steal some food, which made us laugh; the nerve of it! To my delight a Rainbow Lorikeet came and sat next to us. The other instagram pic below was taken just as it was about to fly off.
I was a guest of Guylian Belgian Chocolate Café , thank you. Read more about my disclaimer here.
