Yes that's right this post is about technology in a coffee cup!
I was gifted a branded frankgreen filtered water bottle and SmartCupTM coffee cup yesterday at an event, and was so impressed with this brand I jumped on to Instagram and posted a photo, then contacted the company for more information because I was eager to share.

This is really taking coffee to the next step! Australian brand, frank green’s, stylish SmartCupTM featuring a world first in technology. Not only is the cup eco-friendly for obvious reasons, it is ‘reusable’ to a whole new level with innovative payment technology.
Embedded with a microchip, each SmartCupTM provides the user with the ability to go cash free; tapping the lid of the cup to a sensor to process their payment instantly and securely at their local café. It comes in vibrant colours and can also be branded for corporate.
