YELP’S TOP 14 ROMANTIC SPOTS FOR VALENTINE’S DAY IN SYDNEY
CLAIRE’S KITCHEN AT LE SALON, 35 Oxford St, Darlinghurst, 4.5 stars on Yelp
Went here with partner, Patrick, for the Valentine's Day dinner special. Great atmosphere in this place. The backlit clock feature behind the bar immediately took us back to Musee d'Orsay. We were again, for a moment, in that rooftop cafe last August, eating chocolate cake and drinking apple cider. The cheese soufflé was light and delicate, the chateaubriand perfectly cooked and a generous serving size. While faux foie gras can never beat the original, this was surprisingly tasty…. FOUR IN HAND, 105 Sutherland St, Paddington, 4.5 stars on Yelp
“Looking at the Four in Hand Hotel, you would never think twice that this is a fine dining establishment serving haute cuisine. Though unassuming in stature, the restaurant does have a Victorian old-world feel to it. Coupled with slow jazz music and this makes for a romantic getaway from the Sydney CBD.” – ANDII H. on Yelp
“Enter the world of Pendolino - a place of exquisite Italian fare and delectable collection of pure olive oils. However, you may need to enter with your arms out front; the place is so dimly lit that your eyes may need adjusting. Ladies, expect roses on arrival - at least when your date arrives. The place is a romantic hit spot for couples to enjoy the mood lighting, the beef carpaccio (it is heavenly!! And topped with their signature olive oil) and of course, each other's company.” – AMY A. on Yelp
LE PELICAN, 411 Bourke St, Surry Hills, 5 stars on Yelp
“I went to Le Pelican on a sunny, warm day and eating lunch in the courtyard I thought I may well have been transported to France…. This restaurant is an absolute gem, a perfect place to enjoy a lunch on a sunny day or a romantic dinner with someone special.” – DANIELLE L. on Yelp

LOVE SUPREME, 180 Oxford St, Paddington, 4 stars on Yelp
“Delicious pizza. The lamb ragu was amazing too. Beautiful vibe in the place, great place for a special, romantic dinner. My partner and I ordered a glass of wine each and one glass had 'love' written across it and the other had 'supreme'. A lovely touch.” – KELLY M. on Yelp
BLUE GINGER, 241 Darling St, Balmain, 3.5 stars on Yelp
“When my boyfriend said he was taking me to Blue Ginger for my birthday dinner, I tried to feign excitement. For me, birthdays are the occasion to go somewhere new and exciting, somewhere you haven't been before, somewhere that warrants a celebration in order to dine there. So, when Blue Ginger was mentioned, I was a little disappointed. Whilst I hadn't been there before, it was familiar - sitting on a corner in my local suburb, I had walked past there hundreds of times… Blue Ginger is the perfect setting for a romantic dinner for two…Leaving the restaurant glowing, both from happiness and a ridiculously full and satisfied stomach, my boyfriend shook his head at me, "And to think you didn't want to go there." So, to Blue Ginger, I say thank you for a lovely night, but I don't appreciate having to admit to my boyfriend that yes, sometimes he does know best.” – RACHEL C. on Yelp
A TAVOLA, 348 Victoria St, Darlinghurst, 4.5 stars on Yelp
“In a romantically lit townhouse-come-restaurant, with a delicious glass of a Sangiovese, a slow cooked baby goat parpadelle and an Italian waiter with passion for the menu, you could fool yourself into thinking you were in Italy. Enough said.” – GEMMA G. on Yelp
LA GRANDE BOUFFE, 758 Darling St, Rozelle, 4 stars on Yelp
“I decided to take my Hubby here for a date. We indulged and had the 6 course degustation with matching wines. Every part of the experience was fantastic. The food was perfect, the wines were expertly matched, and the waiters were gorgeous (and French!). I can't recommend this place highly enough, for a romantic dinner.” – BETH J. on Yelp
THE APOLLO, 44 Macleay St, Elizabeth Bay, 4.5 stars on Yelp
“That romantic Grecian room is damn easy on the eyes. The décor is dramatic, but somehow understated. Those arched windows, the time-worn columns, golden lighting and the peeling white walls. Warm, sultry and lively with diners… We had a group table, but the L shaped bar is super sexy. I want to sit there next time.” - Claire H. on Yelp
BOATHOUSE AT BLACKWATTLE BAY, End of Ferry Rd, Glebe, 4 stars on Yelp
“From the moment you step into the Boathouse, the stunning views across the Bay, of the Anzac Bridge, the Fish Markets and the Sydney city skyline, will blow you away. Floor to ceiling glass windows to really celebrate the view, making this a truly spectacular and memorable location… If you love gazing at lights reflecting on water by night as much as me, dinner here is a must. The array of the different coloured, sparkling lights, from the Bridge and Skyline, dancing across the water are simply gorgeous. The colours are so rich and vibrant I'd probably remain mesmerised if I were in boring company... Ideal for a cosy, romantic evening for two.” – DANIELLE L. on Yelp

THE WINE LIBRARY, 18 Oxford St, Woollahra, 4 stars on Yelp
“Even on a Tuesday night it was jam-packed full of couples staring into each others eyes and working out whether they wanted to go home with each other (one of my single mates uses it consistently as his "first-date bar" as it makes such an impression on impressionable Sydney girls) and buzzing…. Service was efficient and attentive. Will definitely take my wife back for a romantic tete a tete!” – JEROME H. on Yelp
BAR H, 80 Campbell St, Surry Hills, 4 stars on Yelp
“Bar H manages to 'plate' sex with unpretentious sophistication. It's dark and romantic, cozy and enveloping but not claustrophobic so you can to tune out everything else around you, and the service is just right; attentive but unobtrusive.” – KATE T. on Yelp
THEATRE BAR AT THE END OF THE WHARF, Pier 4, Hickson Rd, Sydney, 4.5 stars on Yelp
“Quality location for romantic drinks - I stumbled across this hidden away bar and was blown away by its view. The service was great and the cocktails - made perfectly. Yet to try the food, however I did some passing plate watching and It looked amazing.” – TIARNE H. on Yelp

PIER 26 SEAFOOD RESTAURANT, 26 Lackey St, Summer Hill (Sydney), 4 stars on Yelp
Pier 26 on Valentines day, is the perfect place for 2 people who want to be showered in a glittering mountain of seafood and chips and salad , prepared with all the love and romance a chef can throw at it… The owner John was a lovely man, who came and introduced himself to us and regaled the tale that he'd been there for nigh on 14 years in the high street…. There was even a Duet of a singer and Guitar player singing love songs and Jazz numbers to up the ambiance. – INGRID H. on Yelp
