R Hernandez Art Exhibition at Gaffa
Things to do in Sydney | Visit an Art Exhibition
posted by Deb Carr
I was treated to a private preview of the fabulous art of R Hernandez last week-end and I can't wait for the exhibition at Gaffa, on Clarence Street on the 12th December at 6.00 pm. If you love art, then you have to make it to this exhibition. R Hernandez' work is varied, creative and his skills are very diverse. Put it in your diary!
IMAGE THOUGHTS.
This show will represent the thoughts of South American artist R.Hernandez, who
is rethinking his personal view of Sydney’s visual scene with creative art works
made with different personalities, styles and materials. Images on canvas and
paper, and found objects appear alongside sculptures on wire, wood and metal to
emphasize ideas of this artist's inner thoughts of Sydney. The artist explores
simple general visual events from the city night life to the gay community and
everyday social activities where he feels visually interested.
The body of the artwork is as diverse as Sydney; every piece of art work holds a
thought about a moment printed in the artist's mind.
Overall R.Hernandez intends to share with the public his fixation of the Sydney
environment, and celebrate the casual day by day of his experience of the city.
